Healesville Sanctuary

Josh went to Healesville Sanctuary today with the School Holiday Activity Group, his cousins Kai and Tristan also went and they seemed to have had a lot of fun as when I picked up Josh and Kai they wouldn't stop talking LOL

Josh said he freaked out a bit when they went and watched the Eagle flight display as he said it flew really close to his head and he was afraid it would poop on him ahahaha.

Exciting news!!
Joshuas tooth is loose and I rekon a couple more days and its gonna fall out, Tooth Fairy will be visiting here soon :)

Im SOOOOO Proud of Joshua, look at what he brought home ....

Josh has been really trying with his golden words over the last few weeks and he finally did it, he got them all right!!! He said to me "I did just what you said Mum, I took a deep breath and I took my time and I did it!' Hes such a darling and now hes onto practicing writing them every night.

Josh was awake before me this morning and found him on the computer playing games. He jumped off as soon as Zakk turned up and they played soldiers, outside in the cubby and then it was time for lunch. They opted to sit and eat inside so they could watch Jurassic Park.
The kids played well together for the rest of the day, he must have been worn out as he was in bed asleep before 8pm.

Josh and Lilly slept in this morning so we were running a little late, although we still managed to get Josh to school on time.
When I went to get Josh I couldnt find him anywhere at the school and had to go to the office to get his name called out over the speaker, he said he was on the oval playin footy. He also brought this home today ...

Im sooooo PROUD of him, I definately know he doesnt get the organisational skills from me, ahahaha!!!

We both headed for the shopping plaza and got his hair cut, he was so good as he usually squirms quite a bit as he panics about people touching his ears, he looks so adorable, here's a pic ...


We went to get Lilly and then headed home. Josh and Lill played together outside for a while and Josh ate every bit of his dinner. He doesnt have school tomorrow so I said he could stay up late but found him asleep on the couch at 9.30, I cant believe how big hes getting I nearly broke my back carrying him to bed, LOL.

Josh played outside for most of the morning with his sister in their cubby house. After lunch we all headed up to the strawberry farm, Josh thought it was a great place and his eyes were popping out of his head when he saw all the lollies and the chocolate.
We came home for a relaxing afternoon and then all headed over to Josh's Nan and Poppy's as Nicole was making us all a lamb roast. Josh ate most of it but refused the cauliflower, lol.
We headed home for an early night as Josh has school tomorrow.

Josh was great this morning, he cleaned up his room and then went to the market with his Dad.
Damian had bought the kids a huge bag of cinnamon popcorn and they were munching away on that when they got home.
Josh played a few games on his PS2 and kept himself occupied while Lilly and myself had an arvo nap.
We had take away for dinner which Josh was wrapped about and he then headed to his room where he made a huge cubby house from his sheets and doona covers, he even set up a bed for Lilly so she could stay in there for the night.

Josh was woken up by Nicole and Bella this morning as we had to take Bella to creche. He wasnt feeling well so i decided to keep him home for the day. We dropped Bella off at creche and then off to day care for Lilly. Josh and I headed home after we dropped the car in for a service. We both relaxed at home until it was time to go back and get the car.
Next stop was the video store and Josh decided to hire a skateboarding game for his PS2. He didnt get long to play it before we had to go and get Lilly. We all headed over to Bonnie and Ty's for the night, Josh played with Tyler the whole time and was wrapped when he saw Tyler had a Ninja Turtles game on his Nintendo! We stayed until just after 9pm and Josh went straight to sleep when he got home.

Josh was 5 minutes late for school today he must have been buggered from last night. Josh wasnt too keen on the pumpkin soup I made for dinner but still managed to eat quite a bit. Josh was in bed before 7.30, and was an angel and went tosleep straight away.

Josh was a little hard to get up and ready for school today but we still made it on time.
I honestly didnt recognise him when I got him from school as he had a white top on, but when he got closer to the car I noticed that he had been given his Cricket pack, also brought home some more wonderful artwork ...

Josh seemed pretty tired and I thought he was going to have an early night until Brenna rang and suggested we take the kids trick or treating for Halloween, we got there by 6.15pm but the other didnt turn up until 7pm, we headed out and just walked around the block, there were 7 kids in total and all did very well, some people werent interested and said things like "Im not American come back on Australia Day" a few others refused to open their door and yelled 'No one home" but most of the residents were very kind.

We didnt get home until 8pm and the kids were keen on piggin out on lollies, somehow I got them into bed by 9.30 with not too much fuss.

Well Josh was hard to wake up this morning, I tried 3 times before he finally got up.
He got to school just as the bell was sounding but was pretty happy I remembered to give him money for the cake stall today.
When I picked him up he explained that he got 2 cupcakes at playtime with his money and even got some change, he started digging into his pockets only to realise it had fallen out while he was playing.
Josh also said he had a computer class today and thinks he did really well (so do I by the look of his work he brought home), he said he even got to use the printer! Here's what he did ...

He was so good for the rest of the night, also worked on his golden words ready for his test this week!

Nicole dropped the kids off about 2pm and we all had the laziest day ever!
Josh and Lilly wanted to play outside and did really well without fighting and annoying each other for a few hours, then it started and they kept having to have time outs from each other.
Josh didnt like the look of dinner (Yoghurt baked chicken and veg) but after convincing him to just try it he was amazed at how nice it was and ate the lot!
It was so hard to get Josh to bed tonight, he kept saying but the sun is still up, I tried my best to explain to him why but he didnt seem interested.

Well staying up so late last night must have really knocked him about as Josh didnt get up until after 10am.
We all mucked around in my bed for well over a half hour tickling, laughing and just being plain old silly, then there was a knock at the door and Nicole and Bella popped in for a visit.
Josh and Bella played outside for a while then Bella had to go to a bday party.
Josh was great all afternoon, was in and out playing with Lill while I lazed about.
Josh got himself packed and ready in no time when I told him he was staying at Nicoles for the night.

Josh had free dress day at school and was so happy he got to wear his spiderman shorts and top, although when picked him up he told me off as I had forgotton about the cake stall and he didnt have any money.
He had hurt his finger at school today and brought this home from the school nurse ...

Josh was quite grumpy right up until dinner time as Lilly wouldnt leave him alone but his tune soon changed when I told him his Uncle Shaun and Emily were coming over for a visit.
Josh was so wrapped to see them both and wanted to play PS2 with Shaun but they spent most of the time looking for the car racing game which I think Lilly has put somewhere?
After Shaun and Em left Josh decided to play on his PS2 for a while and I noticed he didnt go to bed until about 11pm!

Another good day at school for Josh by the sounds of things and another beautiful piece of artwork for me ...

He said that the picture was of Australian soldiers protecting the beach (blue section) Josh said that the 2 blue men on the right is himself and his mate Riley and that their tank blew up so they are crouching down while the other tank gets the baddies!

Josh really wanted to play outside this arvo but I had to do shopping which he wasnt happy about!

Chops and vegies for dinner and he ate the lot!

Josh said he had a good day at school today and brought this home to show me ...

The weather was pretty bad today so he couldnt play outside when he got home, which he wasnt happy about.
Josh is a big fan of the simpsons cartoon but he was mesmerized by a program they showed on the ABC (channel 2) which was about the Australian Army. He is just so into soldiers at the moment and couldnt believe his eyes when he saw them on TV doing their training and listening to their stories, he kept saying 'Mum I want to be just like them guys and protect Australia from the baddies' Awww he's such a darlin!

Another great morning of being organised right up until we actually got to school and Josh had realised he had left his bag at home, grrrrrrrr! So Lill and I went to get it straight away and drop it back off for him.
I went to get Josh from school and he didnt seem too pleased about going home, I even picked up late so he could have a play, but he was a darlin when he got home, he brought the bin in and packed his bag and lunchbox away without me hasseling him!
We had Fish and chips for dinner which the Josh thought was super, off to bed for an early night tonight.

What a great start to the week, Josh was up at the crack of dawn and I had him at school by 8.15am, he was pretty happy about that!
When we got home after school Josh and Lilly headed straight for the cubby house and were in there right up iuntil dinner time, Josh was begging to have his dinner out there but it was getting dark.
A late night for Josh to bed, it was after 9.30 before he got to sleep.

I didnt get to see Josh until lunch time as it was John's birthday lunch so Damian, Lilly and I decided to walk up as it was a nice day.
Josh was outside running amok with Bella when we got there.
He wasnt too impressed about having to go home and was asking where is the car mum? As soon as I said we were walking home he thought it was a race and took off, he's quite fast and was way ahead in no time.
When we got home I said go and have a look in the front garden, next minute I hear 'woohooo, ohhh yea, my cubby house is up!!' going by that reaction I can be safe in saying he was wrapped.
Olive brought Lea over for a play and the kids had a ball.
We had Brenna and Zakk over for dinner and Josh was pretty happy about that, he showed Zakk his cubby and then was explaining to him about the computer games he plays in great detail.
Josh ate all his dinner and was in bed by 8.30
